1 / 3
  1. Am I a visual learner?

Visual learners usually have a sharp, clear picture of an experience.

    1. I write down things I want to learn - that’s how I remember them best.
    2. I use diagrams, illustrated textbooks, videos, handouts and visual displays to aid my learning.
    3. I write detailed notes so I can absorb the information my teacher gives - sometimes I make sure I’m given extra time to do this.
    4. When I’m working at home, I study in a quiet place on my own.
    5. I understand better if the teacher shows the videos and use mind mapping to illustrate the concepts.

Count how many items you have ticked and complete the following table:

Your Ticks

How many items have you ticked for each type? How would you classify yourself? Are you a visual learner, an auditory learner, or a kinaesthetic learner? Or perhaps you have a mixture of styles. What kind of learning strategies could you adopt if you were a visual learner, or an auditory learner or a kinaesthetic learner? We will further discuss it in the next part of this package.
